Remove nail polish from clothes

To know how to remove nail polish from clothes is a relevant matter for many nail polish users. How many times haven’t you spilled some of your precious nail polish on your clothes? This is very irritating when it happens for several reasons. Of course, you want your nail polish to be on your nails and you don’t want to waste the usually relatively expensive polish. Secondly, nail polish stains on clothes are often difficult to get rid of, so you don’t only waste the nail polish; you may waste your clothes as well. Obviously, it’s practical to know how to remove nail polish from clothes and I will here give you my own best tips and cleaning methods.

When you want to remove nail polish stains from clothes you have to check which kind of fabric the piece of clothes is made of. If it's made of fabric such as cotton, viscose, liner or similar you can use the following nail polish stain removal methods without risk, but if the fabric is more delicate you have to be very careful in nail polish stain removal. If the stain has dried, fist try to remove as big and many parts of the nail polish stain as possible with your nail or some other tool (be careful not to damage the fabric though). Then you use small amounts of oil free acetone and carefully dab the fabric, first do this on the reverse side of the fabric, behind the stain. You can also try to use a nail polish remover; soak a cotton top in remover and stroke it towards the middle of the nail polish stain so it doesn't get bigger when resolving. You may have to do this step in the nail polish stain removal process repeatedly. After you've removed the stain, as good as possible, rub the stain area with soap and water and rinse thoroughly. Then wash the clothes as usual, following the washing advices. Some more nail polish stain removal tips: Put the fabric with the nail polish stain on a clean water absorbing cover. You can use a terry towel or some tissue paper. Use small amounts of solvent at a time, only as much as you need or the solvent itself may cause more stains. Apply the solvent with a piece of white fabric. Adjust the cover under the fabric now and then as the stain will move there.

To remove nail polish out of carpet material is similar to remove nail polish from clothes since these objects are both made out of fabric. Though, clothes are thinner than carpets and more delicate to handle.
